Gary Vann, Ph.D. ,
is
Founder and President of a Traverse City, Michigan consulting
and coaching firm that accesses peak performance within individuals and
organizations. The
human resource aspect is the focus and the individual growth
and performance is the target of GVann Consulting/TGCP.
GVann Consulting/TGCP utilizes a wide range of high
tech methods of intervention that emphasize the science,
service, success and performance of human resources.
Dr.
Vann has consulted and coached in leadership, organizational change and
personal development since 1972.
Leaders of northern Michigan based organizations have
called upon his skills in:
derailment prevention with skilled but underachieving
members of the organization, selection systems, staff
development and leadership/executive coaching.
The resources he brings to the task are
high-performance computer driven as well as personally based
within him. The
sub-cultural corporate setting is assessed and along with the
leadership, a set of goals are established that will address
the organization’s systemic factors and vital signs.
GVann
Consulting/TGCP brings a rare combination of experience from
both the corporate and clinical
world to each development plan.
Personality factors, thinking styles, temperament traits
and relationship skills are all looked at carefully.

have included; graphic arts, civil engineering, Native
American reservation based gaming and health care,
orthodontic/dental practices, telecommunications, federal
government, automotive dealers, education, health care, law
enforcement, commercial and residential construction.
Dr. Vann received his undergraduate Sociology and
Business Administration training at Illinois State University
in Bloomington and his Masters in Clinical Social Work at the
University of Illinois – Chicago and Urbana.
His doctorate is in Clinical Psychology from the Union
Institute in Cincinnati and his internship was with the
Michigan Dept. of Health.
His post-doctoral training has specialized in human
resource and organization development.
He is a Principal and manager of the northern Michigan
office of The Global Consulting Partnership, an international
HR/OD firm located in Philadelphia. He is a member of the American Psychological Association, a
licensed psychologist and resides with his family in northern
Michigan.
